I have been running 6 days a week for more than 15 years now, and I can tell you that it has changed me as a person. Frankly, it does not feel like an exercise or workout anymore. It has become a part of my life. I see it as the best part of my day, every day.

On the surface, long-distance running may seem monotonous or tedious. It looks repetitive without the adventure and thrill of other sports. Those who know will see it differently. They see the rhythm of strides, easy breathing, sweat, and smiles.

After you age past 40, you need a different level of grit and determination to make running a part of your lifestyle.
